Overview

Drop Skills are skills that are not earned by leveling up your characters, you need to drop them from Legendary Duelists playing as the character that you want to get the skill.

For example, you need to use Yami Yugi to duel against Legendary Duelists at the gate or when they appear in the city in order to have a chance to drop his unique skill Destiny Draw.

In this article, we are going to go over the top 10 Drop Skills currently available on Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links.

10. Creator (Pegasus)

When your life points drop bellow 2000, you can add a powerful card from outside of your deck to your hand, instead of doing your normal draw. This skill can be used only once per Duel.

The powerful card can be, randomly, one of the following: Magical Arm ShieldBreaker the Magical WarriorDefender the Magical KnightDunames Dark Witch[card id='11926']Harpie's Feather Duster

9Fiend Farewell (Bakura)

Can be used when one of your monsters is destroyed by battle. 1 random Fiend-Type monster from your Deck is sent to the graveyard.

Especially useful to summon Bakura's signature card, Dark Necrofear, that require you to banish 3 Fiend-Type monsters from your graveyard. You can also use this skill with banish based decks, that got some support with the Valkyrie’s Rage box, and as fuel to Skull Lair.

8. It's a Toon World (Pegasus)

We actually need more Toon monsters, especially Toon Gemini Elf, to make a Toon Deck that is really competitive for ranked matches, but It’s a Toon World is one of the most fun skills to play, just for the nostalgia.

With It’s a Toon World, you begin the duel with the Continuous Spell Toon World activated.

7. Luck on Your Side (Joey)

If your Life Points drop below 1000, your coin tosses will always be heads. This skill is a little hard to activate because your opponent can quickly figure out your strategy and avoid leaving you with lower than 1000 LP, waiting until they can take you down in one turn.

But, if you manage to activate Luck on Your Side, you can turn games around with effects of cards like Time Wizard or Barrel Dragon being guaranteed.

6. Bluff Trap (Odion)

One of the skills that can only be used by Odion. Each time your Life Points decrease by 1200 points, Statue of the Wicked is set on your Spell & Trap Zone.

Bluff Trap’s Deck is getting its place on the competitive play due to the card advantage you can get by Statue of the Wicked’s effects, destroying one more card from your opponent using Storm and summoning a token that can be used for a Tribute Summon.

5. Last Gamble (Joey)

This is a good ability to attain the Duel Assesment LP in the brick and is very useful on farming decks. It can be used on your Main Phase, after the fifth turn. Upon activation, reduces your LP to 100 and discards 2 cards from your hand. You roll a dice and draw that number of cards. This skill can only be used once per Duel.

Last Gamble is also getting more popular in ranked matches, with One Turn Kill decks (Last Gamble Gradius being one of the most viable). You need to stall the game for a few turns and them use the ability to draw the cards you need for your OTK combo.

4. Life Cost 0 (Odion/Mako)

You can use the skill when your Life Points are 1000 or less. You do not have to spend Life Points to activate a card until your opponent's next turn ends. You can only use the skill once per Duel.

Wait. Life Cost 0 is a level up reward for Tea, right? Yes, but it’s also droppable by Odion and Mako. This way you can surprise your enemy summoning that Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon by activating the effect of Cyber-Stein with an unexpected character.

3.Duel, standby! (Tea)

Duel, standby! is a good skill for fast burn decks. It gives 1 more card in each player’s starting hand. This skill is getting its space on PvP matches with the popularity of Tea Burn OTK decks.

2.Destiny Draw (Yami Yugi)

The heart of cards itself. Yami Yugi’s Destiny Draw can be used each time your Life Points decrease by 2000 points. In the Draw Phase, instead of doing your normal draw, you can draw any card of your choice from your deck.

It’s a good and versatile skill that you can put in any deck to get the necessary cards for your combos. Has been used in PvP Ranked matches with Relinquished Decks to either get the ritual card or the monster itself.

1. Harpie's Hunting Ground (Mai)

The best skill available on the game right now with no doubt. Harpie’s Hunting Ground lets you begin Duel with the Field Spell Harpies' Hunting Ground activated. All Winged Beast-Type monster gain 200 ATK and DEF and when any Harpie Lady or Harpie Lady Sisters are Normal or Special Summoned (Flip Summon does not trigger this effect), the player who conducted the Summon target 1 Spell/Trap Card on the field and destroy it.

You just need to be careful with one thing, this effect needs to resolve even when your opponent does not control any targetable cards. You always need to destroy a card, even if it is one Spell or Trap on your side of the field or the Field Spell itself.

This skill puts Mai’s Harpies decks on the top of Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links current meta because of the ability to easily destroy enemy’s Field Spell, Relinquished’s equipped monsters or any card on the Spell/Trap zone.
