Nana Abilities

Molina's Gift

Passive
Passive
Molina's blessings will transform Nana for 2s when she takes a deadly damage. Within this duration, Nana is immune to all damage and her Movement Speed increases by 70%. Under the transformed state Nana recovers 10% of her Max HP but she can't use skills. The blessings activate every 120s.

Magic Boomerang

1
Active
Nana launches a magic boomerang in the designated direction. Each time the boomerange hits an enemy, it will deal 220 (+80% Total Magic Power) points of Magic Damage and slow enemies by 40% for 1.5s. The first enemy takes full damage, the next one takes 20% less damge, up to 60% less damage.

Molina Blitz

3
Active
Nana summons Molina to attack the designated area 3 times. Each attack deals 400 (+180% Total Magic Power) points of Magic Damage to enemies in the area and slows them by 50% for 2s. If Molina Blitz hits a single enemy continously, that enemy will be stunned for 1s.

Molina Smooch

2
Active
Nana summons Molina to the designated area. After a short delay, Molina locks onto an enemy hero, chases them, and morphs them, dealing 250 (+50% Total Magic Power) points of Magic Damage and slowing them by 50% for 1.5s. Reduces Magic Defense of transformed heroes by 25%.

Nana Guide

Mage - Marksman – Support

Introduction

Nana or the Feline Wizard in Mobile Legends is a Mage Hero introduced in the game. She has above decent attack speed, low cooldown spells, crowd control and very good stats!

Nana is underrated in this game as her kit is pretty much everything that you need in order to dominate this game, yet few people use her even the high level rank matches where we could see a lot of Miya’s, Layla’s and Fanny’s.

I have indicated below some of the Pros and Cons in using nana:

Nana’s Pros:

  1. Low cooldown nuke/spam
  2. Disable
  3. Decent Attack Speed/Damage
  4. Her passive can be used as an Escape/Chase mechanism
  5. Versatile (Can be built as a Mage/Support/MarksMan)

Nana’s Cons:

  1. Needs a teammate to dominate in teamfights.
  2. Easy to get ganked by invis/gap-closer heroes (Chou/Zhou/Alpha etc).
  3. In terms of Burst damage, other mages have better output
  4. Needs maneuverability (in-and-out) in order to win 1v1.

In a game where Black King Bar is non existent (Magic Immune in Dota2), Nana’s Morph Skill is a very effective and valuable skill especially in late game scenarios.

Why do we max out Morph spell 1st instead of boomerang?

Morph scales better than Boomerang, why? Because we want to setup our nana as a Support/Damage/Disabler instead of a burst damage hero.

A Level 1 morph spell would make you miss your combo since the disable is quite short. Having it on level 2 or higher would make it easier for you to land your combos, and prevent ganks as well.

(Morph spell increases in duration as you level it up). Disabling your enemy for the longest time would yield better result, since you can put in more auto-attacks for you and your allies and prevent the enemy from escaping, or rushing to you instead.

Also spamming boomerang would deplete nana of her mana easily, which would be needed at the early stages of the game.

If we are maxing out Morph spell, why pick boomerang in the 1st and 3rd levels?

Picking Boomerang in level 1 helps you in last hitting creeps, remember, NANA is a very fragile hero against gap-closers like Alucard, Alpha, Zhou and Chou, with you being aggressive, they could use that against you and kill you instantly when you try to last hit a creep using your normal attack.

Remember her boomerang has longer range than her Normal attack.

Basically, to execute this, standby at the back of your ranged creeps away from the enemy heroes. Once you see that the enemy creep’s HP is low, just target your boomerang and kill the creep.

(INSERT GIF HERE)

You will get the last hit which will land you more gold, probably harass the enemy melee hero and be safe from gap-closers.

We skill it up to level 2, to increase the chances of last hitting and to increase the harassment we give to enemy heroes.

Increasing it to level 3 before Morph is not that good since Morph scales better than Boomerang.

Laning Phase

Nana for me is best played at the Mid Lane.

Why? Because in the mid lane, it's easier to farm and last hit creeps, harass the mid hero (since the lane is narrow) and safer against rushing/ganking enemy heroes (since it's near the tower).

Also it's easier to get to Level5 (Level 2 Boomerang, Level 2 Morph spell and Level 1 Dragon Cat summons).

Once you get to level 5, the strategy is that you push out your lane that it would reach the enemy tower at the middle, once it is pushed, you use the bushes to gank either the top or bottom lane and help your teammates.

With level 2 morph spell and the help of your teammates, you could kill the enemy on one lane and push the tower. Since it would be a possible 3v1 or 3v0.

Nana in sidelanes

Nana in sidelanes is good as a support alongside with fighters and tanks, basically the goal for this is to farm and harass your enemy without getting killed.

The routine for sidelanes would be, farm creeps by last hitting them, once an enemy creep is low, and the enemy hero comes close to it, use your boomerang to harass and farm at the same time.

Once the lane is pushed, go to the jungle with your teammate and get some farm there.

Once you reach level 4/5, your ally tank/fighter could be used as a bait for the enemy team to engage, and once they do, just use your ulti, morph spell the one with low hp, and finish him/her with your boomerang spell.

For more advance laning strategies, I will create a different guide that would tackle this phase specifically.

During Teamfights

During teamfights, make sure to position yourself away from the enemy gap-closers and behind your tank/fighter.

Living longer would mean that you would be able to use your skills more and will help your team in turning around teamfights.

When the clash starts, spam boomerang on enemy heroes and use morph spell on the enemy hero that started the initiation.

Basically, what will happen is that once the fight starts, the enemy team will help the one that is disabled (Morphed) and will clump together. This is the perfect opportunity to use your ultimate (Dragon Cat Summons).

Landing a 2-3 Ultimate is game winning, on top of that, you could hit them with your boomerang skill, that will amp up the damage.

Usually the enemy team would either be dead, or running away, at that point, just use morph spell to disable them, or spam boomerang (since it has a very long range) in order to kill them.
