Balmond

Balmond is my best hero in the front-line. Damage plus a very durable hero.

Balmond is a tank and a fighter at the same time. He can deal damage while he is absorbing the attacks from the other team, like a hybrid. He can be a unkillable hero if you know what items to use and to know how to play this hero. We will teach you what are the abilities, what items you should buy, and how to play this hero.

ABILITIES

Bloodthirst

Passive

Regens 4% of max HP each time he kills a minion. Regens 10% of max HP each time he kills a hero.

Good for clashes and crowd control. after killing all the enemies or minions your health will regen.

If you don’t have enough HP, kill some minions and your hp will regen.

Soul Lock

Cooldown:10.8

Charges up to an enemy and deals 150 pts of physical damage to enemies along the way. After hitting a hero, he will stop and lower that enemy’s movement speed by 60%, lasting 2.5s.

This ability is best when initiating, It will stop and reduce the movement speed of the opponent.

It's good to use when you are chasing an enemy or even for escaping.

Best use for escaping is using walls.

Cyclone Sweep

Cooldown:6.9

For 3s, brandishes a large a and continuously deals 65 physical damage to nearby enemies.

Good for crowd control and clashes. It can hit multiple enemies.

A good combination for his passive skill.

Can cancel to blow the lethal counter, FIRST BLOOD!

Lethal Counter

Cooldown:40

Raises a giant axe, dealing 350 pts plus 20% of target's missing HP as true damage to enemies in a conical area in front of the hero and lowers enemy movement speed 60%, lasting 2s.

When you are chasing an enemy with minimum health, this is the best option.

Good for clashes, can hit multiple enemies to deal a really big damage and slowing them down.

You can also kill multiple enemies when the health of most of them are at the minimum.

(instant double kill, triple kill, or maybe PENTA KILL!)

My Balmond item build, the best item build I’ve ever played. I will explain to you the use of each items and when are you going to pick these items.

CORE ITEMS

Unique Effect +20% Damage to Monsters

-To level up more from jungling

-Can help you level up faster

+920 HP. +50 Magic Resistance.

Unique Passive Sacrifice Deals 2% of one's max HP as magic damage per second to nearby enemies.

Good to be the first item. It can make balmond really hard to kill in early game.

+920 HP. +54 Armor.

Unique Passive Deter When an enemy hero attacks, this ability will reduce his/her attack power 4%. This effect lasts 2s and can stack up to 3 times.

Adding more HP and armor? Why not? I’m using this item after I purchased the boots.

+1550 HP. +75 HP Regen.

Unique Passive Bloodlust A kill or assist regens 20% of hero's health within 5 seconds.

This item is the key to victory, It makes Balmond unkillable. Good for clash, your health will regen faster while absorbing all the enemy attacks. This item saves me many times. After you and your team kill all the enemies it will make your HP almost full. The best way of using it is focusing on one enemy then regen then kill another enemy. It really makes Balmond Unstoppable.

SITUATIONAL ITEMS

+100 Armor.

Unique Passive Counterstrike Deals 25% of opponent's physical attack as physical damage to an attacker when a basic attack is received.

Sometimes I’m using this item in the early game. Before my opponents build life stealitem. Balmond can return some damage to from the opponent, it's like damaging them will taking a hit. Very convenient right?

+70 Physical Attack. +20% Cooldown Reduction.

Unique Passive Bloodthirsty When skills cause damage, heals 15% of damage as HP for the hero.

Adding more damage to Balmond. Good combination with cyclone sweep and lethal counter, these two skills can hit multiple enemies that’s way the unique passive of this item makes a perfect combination.

+800 HP. +40 Magic Resistance.

Unique Passive Rebirth Resurrect 2s after dying and get 15% HP and a shield that can absorb damage equal to 40% max HP. Shield lasts for 3s. Cooldown for this effect is 180s.

The Rebirth, one of the best passives on items in this game. You will have a second chance to escape or to fight back.

It is also a good chance to fight back to use the passives of each items and hero ability.

BOOTS

+22 Magic Resistance.

Unique Effect +40 Movement Speed

Unique Passive Fortitude Increases Resilience 25%

If you need to run hard and tanky. A very cheap item to make balmold so hard to kill in the early game.

Unique Effect +50 Movement Speed

If you want SPEED.

BATTLE SPELLS

Healing Spell

(Cooldown: 120 seconds).

Regens 15% HP for you, and according to the number of nearby teammates, regens at most 15% HP for them.

I am using Healing Spell for 2 reasons.

To save my life from escaping

To save my life to KILL

GOOD ALLIES TO TEAM-UP WITH:

Estes: Heals you, when I’m with estes I’m not afraid to charge the enemies in line. Another this from Estes is the skill to slow enemies. Good for avoiding or initiating enemies.

Freya: She can jump and stuns opponents. A big opportunity for me to land a hit.

Eudora: She can stuns and deal damage from a distance. But I need to protect her because she’s very fragile.

BEST SKIN:

My choice is primal fury.

It’s cheap, for only 60 fragments you can use this awesome skin.

It also gives balmond plus 10 hp.

EMBLEM:

My favorite set is Tank Emblem, I want to use balmond to be so tanky like the other tanks.

It give Balmond armor, resistance, and HP. This set makes Balmond immortal.

SETTINGS:

For hero lock mode on, it helps you to target a specific hero when you are in clash and when it gets messy. It help you a lot to know which hero you should kill first.

IN-GAME TIPS:

Early Game:

Balmond is really strong in the early game. being too aggressive is not advisable.  If you think you have the advantage then grab it just be careful, Balmond is not that tanky in the early game but he can surely deal some damage to enemies especially to mages and marksman. You may use hunter's knife to jungle and to get fed fast. Killing minions while near the tower is a good move to prevent you from ambush. If you cleared the line and the jungle, you may visit other lines to help them kill or to push.

Mid Game:

In mid game, begin pushing lanes and killing turtles. You can now engage with team fights because you are now durable. If you are going solo please be careful, always check the map.

Late Game:

You are now very tanky at this point. You can now endure the attacks and skills of the enemy team while dealing some damage. Make sure that you live after the team fight so you could push and win. Use the Healing spell to gain extra health and to regen as much as you could using your passives. Using your ultimate will help a lot in team fight. At this point it is very crucial to make a mistake, one mistake will lead to defeat .

Weakness:

The weakness of balmond is if you got hooked by franco or stun by the enemy, it will be a big turn-off

I’m also having a hard time dealing with yi-sun-shin, I can’t really regen properly and even Moscov.

Balmond is really easy to use hero, a good hero if you are a beginner in this game. Most of the players they want to be carry and they want range heroes. So this hero is the answer, a very hard to kill and it can also deal some massive damage. So good luck and enjoy using BALMOND!
