Quillen is an Assassin hero known as the Purifying Blade. Be patient. Find the best chance to get into a fight.

Use the Ultimate more often to refresh your cooldown. And remember, a real assassin kills every enemy.

Abilities

Passive - Spinal  Stab

Attacks made behind the enemy have a 100% chance to strike critically with the base damage of 125%. An additional 0.5% for every 1% critical chance Quillen gains.

None of the attacks made in front of the enemy will be critical strikes.

Ability 1 - Mutilate

Quillen moves in the target direction rapidly and attacks a nearby enemy after reaching his destination, dealing physical damage marking the target for 10 seconds. Each time Quillen attacks the marked target, the target's movement speed is reduced for 1 second and the cooldown for Mutilate is reduced by 1 second.

Ability 2- Decimate

Quillen moves in the target direction rapidly and attacks a nearby enemy after reaching his destination, dealing physical damage marking the target for 10 seconds. Each time Quillen attacks the marked target, the target's movement speed is reduced for 1 second and the cooldown for Mutilate is reduced by 1 second.

Quillen also takes 30% less damage from the marked target. Only one enemy can be marked at any given time.

Ultimate - Assassinate

Quillen enters stealth after a short charging time. While in stealth, he gains extra movement speed and recovers HP every 0.5 seconds for 3 seconds. When he launches an attack, he comes out of stealth, gains bonus attack damage and movement speed when he damages an enemy target.

Passive: Refreshes cooldowns of all abilities when killing a hero of completing an assist.

Gameplay Tips

Remember Quillen is an assassin, who should wait for the best chance to finish the team fight, rather than joining the battle first. In the early game, Quillen could be very weak when he does not have the Ultimate. Try to avoid too much fighting, which will affect his farming.

In the middle or the late game, Quillen has very high burst damage. He can kill any vulnerable hero when he is alone. Try to figure out how much damage Quillen can deal instantly, which decides whether he can kill or assist each time when joining in the fight.

Quillen can counter the vulnerable heroes like Valhein and Tel'Annas. On the other hand, heroes like Arum that have stable control, and heroes like Thane that have good protect ability perform better when facing Quillen.
