Maloch Guide

Maloch is a true fighter who deals real damage with his enchanted blade. No matter how tanky the enemies are, Maloch can always ignore the armor and smash them easily. When facing multiple opponents, Maloch can siphon their souls for his own recovery.

Abilities

Passive - Plunder

Maloch has longer attack range than other melee heroes. After enchanting the weapon, Maloch's normal attacks cause real damage and recover his health. Maloch's attack range is about twice the range of other melee heroes, therefore, he can kite other melee opponents easily and hit enemies under tower from a safe distance.

Ability 1 - Cleave

Maloch swings his blade and causes physical damage. If the skill hits a hero his weapon will be enchanted dealing real damage and recovering Maloch's lost HP.

Know that cleave as a brief casting delay, during which enemies could flee out of attack range. However, Maloch can also move while casting Cleave, therefore, a skilled player always adjusts his position while casting Cleave to hit more enemies.

Ability 2 - Souleater

Maloch siphons the souls of surrounding enemies, causing minor physical damage and slowing them while creating a shield for himself. The more enemies hit by the skill the thicker the shield.

The shield is the strongest when Maloch hits a maximum of 5 units. In the early game, Souleater is usually used for its slowing effect and minor damage. However, the shield it creates is substantial in the late game.

Notice that Souleater creates the shield even it hits creeps or monsters. Therefore, try fighting enemies around creeps in lane.

Ultimate - Shock

Maloch affixes his mark on a target location then unleashes a massacre from above. He knocks back enemies where he lands and causes massive physical damage.

Enemies trying to enter or exit the marked area will also be slowed. There are two ways to utilize the ultimate, first, one being a team fight initiation.

Maloch can cast shock to start a fight, knocking back the enemy team. However, the ultimate can be disrupted by crowd controls while casting due to its brief delay. Therefore, try to cast shock from a covert location such as a brush.

The second way is to use the ultimate for an escape or chasing down enemies. The marked area will slow down the chasing enemies helping Maloch to escape.

As the god of war, a well geared Maloch never cowers in front of enemies. When facing long ranged heroes, Maloch can hide in brush and wait for enemies to approach.

Use Souleater when an enemy comes near for the slowing effect instantly following up with cleave to deal maximum damage. Maloch can keep them attacking the enemy while he's slowed and finally use execute to collect an easy kill.

In mid and late game due to his slow movement speed, Maloch should follow his teammates and frequently send signals for teammates to assemble. In a favorable game, Maloch can initiate with Shock, slowing down the enemies with his ultimate, while nuking them down with his allies.

In a losing game, Maloch can use shock to protect his allies. The key is to cast shock after enemies initiations, knocking the enemies back while finding an opportunity to fight back.

Lore

"Torture brings suffering, and suffering brings power."

Clawing from the deepest pits of Hell with seething fury and vile intents for torture and suffering, Maloch would become the ruler of the Ravenors.

He knew full well the world's most cruel and sadistic punishments. He enjoyed nothing more than shattering the souls of those unfortunate enough to cross his path. The howls of pain and anguish that emerge from torture pits within Hell were music to Maloch's ears, and that was where he drew powers from. In this place where light could touch, the Ravenors were law and they served Maloch.

"My underlings hunger for my power, but they shall never have it!" Maloch was always proud to demonstrate his cold intellect and vile schemes and was quick to refute any rumors about his foolhardiness.

Maloch's cruelty knew no bounds, and he frequently delighted himself by torturing the Ravenors under his command until their very souls were broken. It helped passing his time, but Maloch gradually grew tired of them as well.

"Every living soul must lay broken, weeping and pelading for death at my feet!" He thought to himself With this new desire, Maloch left his realm and sought out battles.

"I will show all that breathe what true suffering really is!"
