Amily is recognized on the battlefield for her powerful heads-up abilities, pipe burst damage, and strong resilience. Her three abilities not only grant her a large amount of attack power but also reduce a ton of incoming damage, which is helpful whether she's attacking or defending.
On top of all that Amily's also highly mobile, she has no problem rushing into a group of opponents to quickly grab a kill even if you're hiding in the back
Abilities
Passive - Duel
When Amily's normal and chain attacks are focused on a single target she deals 50% additional damage. Because of this Amily should try to avoid fighting with the enemy when there are minions in the lane.
Though if you're going to attack minions and monsters with Amily target one at a time and they'll go down fast.
Ability 1 - Kickblade
Amily kicks forward and flings a blade she has hidden behind her leg. After hitting the initial target the blade bounces up to four times between enemies dealing physical damage and reducing movement speed by 30% for one second.
The first enemy that struck receives an additional 50% reduction in movement speed. Once the blade returns to her Amily gains 20% movement speed for three seconds, her health is restored, and the abilities cooldown is reduced by 30%.
If Amily needs to cross the battlefield quickly to meet up with her teammates she can always toss the blade at a minion in the lane or a monster in the jungle. No one leaves this girl behind.
Ability 2 - Combo
Amily launches into a chain of attacks that deal physical damage. The second hit knocks her target in the air and causes her next normal attack to charge and deal additional physical damage.
Amily recovers 1% of her max HP and mana every second and her movement speed increases once exiting combat. Note that Amily's second ability does not allow her to pass through walls, though the attack itself can damage enemies through thinner walls.
Ultimate - Enrage
Amily becomes enraged, after one second while enraged her attacks are more powerful. She becomes immune to damage and her movement speed increases by 40.
She also deals magic damage every second for eight seconds. Amily's ultimate has a slight delay, so it's best to trigger it in a team fight before using her second ability to enter battle.
Here are a few tips for using Amily
Amily can chain all of her abilities together to do some major damage. To pull this off successfully open with her ultimate before leaping into battle to increase attack and soften damage received.
Then use her first ability to reduce the enemy's movement speed. Then ability 2, followed by a normal attack. Here's the order again. Ultimate, ability one, ability two, normal attack.
Amily can store an enhanced normal attack by using her second ability before entering battle. Then as long as the enhanced attack is used in time Amily can follow up with the ability again right after giving her two big normal attacks in a short amount of time.
You already know Amily's passive is great for dealing with other heroes minions and monsters, But did you know it works spectacularly on towers as well? That's right, thanks to her passive Amily's ability to push a tower should never be underestimated.
Choose Amily's talent skill based on how you plan to use her. If you're going to be wandering the jungle the Punish Talent will be your best friend. If you're going to be spending a lot of time in the lane consider taking Flicker to prevent yourself from being kited by the enemy.
Lore
Amily is a traitor
In her last trial, she worked with three other candidates and killed more than ten supervisors, including the instructor. The four traitors paid a high price and were drenched in blood. However, this was just the beginning. Soon after they left the scene, they had to go into hiding in order to escape from the organization.
Amily did not have to do that. She could have become the next top assassin in "Hands of Shadow" by simply following the orders of the organization and slay all other competitors in the trial. The leader of the organization, Quillen, favored her and even promised her a glamorous public identity with fame, wealth and power.
As an orphan, Amily could not have asked for more, but she chose to escape from all of this. It was not just for the freedom she had always longed for, but more for her belief that her long-lost younger sister is still waiting for her somewhere in the world. She had thought about asking the organization for help, and to put an extraordinary effort in her training to give her more leverage, but gave up the idea.
The Hands of Shadow is not a charity. THey gather orphans from war, famine, and disasters, provide them with food, lodging, and cruel training. They fight and kill one another to become "Seeds", so they can be turned into deadly and obedient killing machines.
There is no place for emotion in the organization. Amily learned it from the scar on her waist. In her first trial, she stood in front of a friend to protect him, but he stabbed her in return.
Since then, she kept to herself and became quieter, more cautious and diligent. In return, she was able to survive every trial and earn the organization's favor.
Many supervisors also trusted Amily for her hatred against the non-humans. She lost her family and everything else because her homeland was destroyed by the Lokheim demons. The orc legions and Demigod of the Veda were not innocent, either. As an organization extremists, the Hands of Shadow is determined to eliminate all non-humans that pose threats to humans. They thought an orphan like Amily would be easily brain-washed. In fact, she did agree with some of their teachings, but she had always retained some sense of humanity, thanks to her longing for her sister.
Amily made a promise in front of her dying parents that she would find her sister. Ten years had passed since then, she lived in shadow and her hands dripped with the blood of her peers. She learned to build a wall around her heart, and she never forgot that promise. It was like a seed, and each time Amily mourned her parents, missed her sister, long for freedom or survived another trial, the seed would grow.
So, with all the skills and endurance developed over the years, she has shattered her shackles.
"Freedom tastes great!"
